I woke up the next morning wonder where the hell the showers were. Aurora and I went downstairs and asked the guy at the front desk. He went up the stairs with us back toward our room and pushed open the door right next to our room. DUH. Plus I remember thinking it looked like some sort of fire escape door for some reason. Our First Night in Exeter

Next on our agenda was Exeter and Teignmouth, two towns in Devon county (western England). We thought it would be neat to check out the places where Muse spent their younger years. Sounds cheesy… but you don’t find yourself in England every day, and it was nice to check out places outside of the city for a few days.

Saturday Night Wembley

Another round of Muse? Sure, why not…

That morning, I walked throughout the kitchen and lobby looking for Amethyst. The kitchen was not only packed with people… it was packed with people wearing Muse shirts, engaging in conversations about Muse. Even the tiny bulletin board in the lobby was littered with Muse-related fliers, soliciting last-minute ticket trades.

Muse at Wembley: Night Uno

If I remember correctly, we had a late start. I don’t even remember if I had breakfast. I just remember taking pictures of the Herp Factory’s bunk, which we treated as a crime scene; no one wanted to be near it.

We walked over to The Rocket in Euston for another one of our Muser meetups there. Had a big burger, chips and Sprite. Our massive group took over the jukebox and played all kinds of music, from Muse—cue groans and sing-alongs during “Feeling Good”—to Britney Spears—cue cheers during “Baby One More Time.” SO funny. We had a sing-along at our table during “Knights of Cydonia” and cracked up as Chris nailed Bellamy’s falsetto. After staying there for a couple of hours, Liz, Lisa and I were getting antsy so we headed to the tube station and made our way to Wembley.
